2006 Summer Re-Cap. Another successful Summer at Thompsons. TBC brings home medals in 6 events at the USRowing National Championship. Congratulations to the National Champion Junior Mens 8+ and all of the competitors who helped bring the Thompsons Boat Center Points Trophy back to DC for the second year in a row. Thompsons Boat Center Trophy is awarded to the team with the most combined points at the USRowing National Championship.
TBC made a strong showing at the Royal Canadian Henley Regatta making many finals. Special congratulations to the womens senior quad, making the first ever senior sculling final for the open women.
4-23-07 TBC has been selected to host USRowing Senior Women's and Men's Development Camps.

2-13-07 Rowing featured in the Health section of the Washington Post, "Pulling Against Time".
2-6-07 TBC Rowers dominate the Mid Atlantic Erg Sprints. Many TBC Juniors competing for their various high schools' place in the top 3. A few Opens and Coaches were in the mix as well. In the Junior Womens 20', TBC rowers take 1st-3rd, Megan Saylor (Whitman), Elizabeth McGhee (Whitman), Whitney Armstrong (O'Conell). Mike Gallagher (Whitman), who rowed for TBC this Fall, finished 3rd in the Junior Mens 20'. TBC Coach Kirk Shipley takes 3rd in the Masters Men 20'. Joan Hoffman came in 2nd in the Masters Women 30-39 2000m race and 1st in the Masters Women 500m race. Caroline Robbins (Whitman) claimed 3rd in the Junior Womens 1500m event. Ellie Benson (BCC) finished 2nd in the Junior Womens 2000m. Gabe Middendorf (St. Albans) finished 2nd in the Junior Mens 2000m. Ben Miles (Whitman) came in 2nd in the Lightweight Junior Mens 2000m. The Lightwieght Junior Womens 2000m race was won by Alexis Zink (Georgetown Visitation); coming in third was Caroline Mansueti (BCC). Jessica Sigalas, a TBC Junior Alumni, won the College Freshman 2000m. Lee Rumph came in 3rd in the Junior Mens 18-19 2000m race. Mark Siegal came in 2nd in the 16-17 year old 2000m race.
